Members of the Alberni Arts Council are invited to attend a Special General Meeting on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m., as the organization prepares to launch its
2026–2029 Strategic Plan and outline its path forward.
The meeting location will be confirmed based on attendance numbers, and members are encouraged to RSVP in advance. The session will provide an in-depth look at the organization’s recent transition and planning work. Attendees will receive an overview of key developments from 2025 to the present, including the process behind the new strategic plan and the data
collected to inform it. Leadership will share how community feedback and research are shaping priorities, programs, and long-term sustainability.
The draft 2026–2029 Strategic Plan will be presented, along with the council’s updated vision, mission, and values. Members will also learn about newly formed
committees and how to get involved in governance, membership development, and other key areas of the organization.
In addition to formal presentations, the meeting offers an opportunity for members to connect with one another, renew their memberships, or sign up for the first time.
Membership plays a vital role in supporting the council’s work and strengthening arts and culture in the Alberni Valley.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP at alberniarts.com/SGM2026 to ensure adequate space is secured for the gathering.
