Cheryl was born and raised on the prairies of Saskatchewan and gained an early love of nature’s beauty as she accompanied her veterinarian father on his calls in the country, stopping to catch a glimpse of burrowing owls, or whitetail deer in the distance.  That appreciation of the world around her is still very evident in her work, and she spends as much time as possible outdoors, often on the waters of the Pacific West Coast with her husband, where she takes inspiration from the sea, the sky, and the abundant marine life.
