Corissa O’Donnell

Corissa Spring O’Donnell is an artist based in Port Alberni, B.C. and from Edmonton, Alberta who graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, AB, 2001. Corissa has been working as a mixed media artist currently working with pen, ink, scratchboard, acrylic and collage as seen in her “Nude” series from 2006- present- “a study of the historical nude in art and photography with a focus on the tension between art and eroticism.” Other work includes a Bird series and commissioned pieces ranging from portraits, posters to album covers, Prints on pillows, t-shirts mugs and art cards that can be viewed her online profiles.

Corissa has shown work on Vancouver Island at the Campbell River Art Gallery, in Cumberland during Raven Art Markets and Elevate Art festival, Sage and Tree Gallery in Courtenay, Seathrift Artisan Boutique in Qualicum Beach, art markets in Nanaimo, Eastside Flea in Vancouver, Ladysmith night of artists, Colyn’s Nursery in Port Alberni and currently has beaded earrings at the Grove. Other showcases in Edmonton, AB have included: Latitude 53 Gallery, The Artery, Alberta Craft Council, Revel Bistro, various Art markets such as the Royal Bison and Whyte Ave. art walks. Corissa continues to brightly explore subjects and themes of people, animals, dreams, art vs. eroticism, the natural world vs. domestic with high contrasting imagery.
