I love many things, but three that inspire me daily are art, nature, and the water. My work is a tribute to the connection between these passions.
Originally hailing from Alberta, I find myself inspired on the regular by the awe-inducing landscapes of Vancouver Island, where I have lived since grade 10. A national level swimmer for over a decade, and avid hiker, surfer and freediver my work often draws from the ocean and its abundance of life.
Inspired by my older brother, a national award winning photographer, I picked up a camera in my late teens. Underwater photography was a natural fit for me thanks to my love for the water. I am fascinated by how light interacts with marine environments, and this interaction is a focal element in many of my pieces
A recent history and communications graduate from the University of Victoria I am passionate not only about creating striking imagery, but also telling compelling stories via visual mediums. Biodiversity and bold use of colour are central themes throughout my artwork.
I am honored to have the opportunity to use my work showcase and raise awareness for the rich abundance of marine life found off of Vancouver Island.
