Born in England, Judith emigrated to Canada in 1970.

Her fine arts education focused on pattern design, resulting in brief employment with Josiah Wedgwood and Sons.  Judith worked in the design studio, continuing to learn the complex requirements of designing patterns for fine china.

Throughout the mid life years, she worked on painting commissions and created illustrations for Natural History books, nine in total, that were published by Pacific Edge Publishing on Gabriola Island.  Judith also accepted a commission  to design a commemorative Plate for Butchart Gardens derived from the Japanese Gardens.

Judith was juried in the Federation of Canadian Artists during the 1980’s.  This offered a great opportunity to submit paintings to exhibitions and to maintain a profile as an artist.

Following retirement, Judith has focused fully on painting and continues to submit works to exhibitions.
