Maggie Wouterloot is a Nanaimo-based artist and educator. She received a BFA in studio art and art history from Concordia University and began experimenting with 3D media after moving back to her native B.C. She creates whimsical works of allegory in papier-mâché, plaster, and concrete that have appeared in public art spaces on Vancouver Island and the Okanagan.
She is active in a number of arts councils and leads art classes in both children’s and adult levels. She is fascinated by the collaborative aspect of art and its potential for bonding and community building.
