I’m a painter and arts activist working primarily with watercolour, beeswax gesso, metallic foil, and ink on paper—blending Renaissance storytelling with elements of theatre set design, inspired by our island landscape. Painting has been central to my life since 1995. Trained in Studio Arts at North Island College and Concordia University, I also hold a Master’s in Creative Arts Therapies and am a Certified Canadian Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor (CCC, CCS). I’ve worked in experimental theatre, facilitated numerous community arts projects, and have a strong passion for murals and public art that supports well-being. My art is a tool for expression, healing, and truth-telling—communicating what words sometimes can’t. I create at home, outdoors, and in public spaces with individuals and communities. Exhibitions include the Comox Valley and Campbell River Art Galleries, and seven years of group shows in Montréal. My inspirations span the Renaissance to contemporary Indigenous, queer, and feminist artists shaping the future of visual storytelling.
