Sonrisa has experimented in stained glass, mosaic, embroidery and linocut printing, but their passion lies with drawing and oil painting, with his work is often centred on the figure.
She is currently a full-time student, working on her Master’s in Fine Arts for Drawing and Painting. Her pursuits include primarily representative painting, such as plein air landscape painting around Vancouver Island, and figurative painting. She loves colour, painterly brushstrokes, Impressionism, Dada, Postmodernist art, and specifically appropriation in art. He is currently working on his thesis centred around queer expression and joy, and also loves to spend time creating paintings for and of his friends.
