Tony Theriault

Tony Theriault is a glass artist and the creative force behind Heron Rock Glassworks, working out of a home studio on the shores of Sproat Lake. Born on Vancouver Island and part of the Alberni Valley community since the late 1990s, Tony draws his inspiration from the wild beauty of the West Coast, layered with the charm of his time spent on Prince Edward Island.

Working primarily in the traditional Tiffany style and copper foil technique, Tony has been playing in glass since the early 1990s. What began as experimentation has grown into a practice built on slowing down and enjoying the process, with work that moves well beyond the typical suncatcher into unexpected forms, dimensional pieces, and custom sculptural work, often blending in other mediums along the way.

You can find Tony’s work at The Grove, Blue Fish Gallery, and The Riverbend Café, or follow along on Facebook and Instagram @heronrockglassworks.
