Is this the last year of the book sale?

Yes – we have been unable to continue this event as we do not have storage past 2026. If you know of a possible place to assist us to keep the sale going forward, please conatct us.

Why is it a one day event?

We typically hold a two day book sale, but because of the limited storage, we have been unable to collect as many boxes as usual, so we are holding the event for one day only.

What is new this year?

In 2025, we introduced local authors and bookstores to the event, with live readings from books and poetry. This year, we will be expanding the idea by introducing more vendors. However, due to the sound quality in the Athletic Hall, we won’t be having any live readings.

How do I become a volunteer?

Volunteering for the book sale is perfect for those who love books! You will get an opportunity to work alongside other book lovers, feel free to bring headphones to get in the zone, and you can even take home a few books that spark your fancy.

Volunteers at the event itself will be given free refreshments and light snacks throughout the day. More information about volunteering can be found at the Info Session, Wednesday April 29th at 5:45pm. Join by emailing admin@alberniarts.com

How do I join as a vendor?

Being a vendor is easy! Apply using this handy dandy form: https://pci.jotform.com/form/260985823531059

What happens after 4pm?

On Saturday May 9, from 4pm – 5pm, we will be inviting local community groups to pickup the unsold books, by donation.
