Gerry Hebert has been a local part of Alberni’s Art Scene since the early 2000s. He uses his incredible talents in woodworking to create beautiful masterpieces. Gerry uses a variety of different woods in his boxes, such as walnut and maple. You would have seen Gerry’s famous artwork in locations like the Wickaninnish Inn, Black Rock Resort, and the BC Royal Place Museum.
If you have always wanted to own one of these boxes, now is the time, as only 50 of these precious gifts are left!
From July 11-28, we will be showcasing Gerry’s talent within The Grove Art Gallery.
On Thursday, July 11, from 5 to 8 pm, we have a unique opportunity for a meet-and-greet with Gerry’s beloved family. This inclusive event will also feature live poetry readings, live music, delectable food, and refreshments available by donation, finishing with a silent auction of one of the infamous jewelry boxes themselves.
We cordially invite everyone to a beautiful evening at The Harbour Quay, filled with art, cheer, and the opportunity to share a memory of Gerry if you have one. We look forward to seeing you all there!
