Come and see this impressive group exhibition, starring local art group the Alberni Valley Wednesday Painters! While yes, it will be featuring paintings, using watercolour, acrylic, or oil, there will also be some other unique mediums on display, such as paverpol, and fiber art, and even more!

The Wednesday Painters began as a informal class on October 8th, 2003. Initially there were four people who were interested and Cynthia Bonesky was the main instructor who held lessons in her home. By September of that year, more people had joined and the group needed a bigger meeting space. So they moved to Echo Center, and very quickly held their first group exhibition there . They decided to move away from lessons and just became an art group by October 3rd, 2007. Now the group still brings different instructors to learn other techniques and mediums, but they also meet and bring their own individual projects to work on and provide encouragement to each other.

To learn more about the Alberni Valley Wednesday Painters, the group will be hosting a opening reception on Thursday, May 1st, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and if you can’t attend, there will also be a meet & greet on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1pm – 3 pm.
