From the moment she could hold a paintbrush—while still in a highchair—Adrianna has had an unshakable passion for art. Originally from across Canada, Adrianna’s journey has taken her through cities like Barrie, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary, and Nanaimo before finally settling in Port Alberni in 2021. After years of nomadic living, she’s found the place she wants to plant roots and build a life immersed in creativity and community – Port Alberni!
Although she briefly studied Fine Arts at the University of Ottawa, Adrianna’s formal education was cut short due to financial and mental health challenges. Since then, she’s embraced a self-taught approach, guided by her curiosity, experimentation, and plenty of YouTube tutorials. This independence has allowed her to develop a unique and fearless style that resists categorization.
These days, Adrianna works primarily from her home studio and back deck, always accompanied by her cats. After a diverse career path that included years as a personal trainer and a paint sales representative for Sherwin-Williams, she fully transitioned into a dedicated art practice in 2021. Since then, her days are filled with painting, doodling, experimenting with new mediums, and most recently, leading playful watercolour workshops here in the Valley.
Her work spans across all subjects and styles, as she refuses to limit herself. However, recurring themes in her art include volcanoes, surreal landscapes, and dreamlike scenes—elements that reflect both the unpredictability and beauty of the natural world. Adrianna draws daily inspiration from life itself, the nature that surrounds her, and the precious stories shared by fellow artists. She believes in the power of connection and finds great joy in the artistic community of Port Alberni.
When she’s not painting or teaching, Adrianna has a love for choreography, strength training, kettlebells and mountain running—yes, running up mountains! Her passion for movement and adventure is just another extension of her creative spirit.
While she maintains a more offline approach to life, Adrianna can still be found online through her social media platforms:
