The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended the recent Special General Meeting, March 28th 2026. The strong turnout reflects a deep and growing commitment to the future of arts and culture in the Alberni Valley.
Members came together to hear updates, share perspectives, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the direction of Alberni Arts during this time of transition and renewal. The energy in the room underscored the importance of community voices in shaping the organization’s next chapter.
We are especially grateful for the thoughtful participation and respectful discussion that took place throughout the meeting. Your input plays a vital role in informing our strategic priorities, governance improvements, and future planning.
Handouts shared at the meeting included a first look at our Strategic Plan and data from the Community Engagement activities, which took place in 2025.
The 2026-2029 Strategic Plan will be shared when it is complete to the membership and community for feedback. This feedback continues to guide decision-making as we work to strengthen programs, partnerships, and opportunities for artists and the broader community.
Official minutes from the Special General Meeting will be presented and shared at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on May 11th.
