Looking for a creative and memorable way to celebrate a birthday? The Grove Gallery offers art-themed birthday parties for kids, teens, and adults! Whether you’re crafting, painting, or making a GIANT collaborative drawing, we provide a fun and inspiring atmosphere for an unforgettable celebration.
Party Details
- Ages: 4+
- Max Participants: 10 people (plus a minimum 1 adult/guardian for kids’ parties)
- Sundays: 10am – 12pm or 12:30pm – 2:30pm
- Duration: 2 hours
- Minimum Cost: $130 for children, $200 for teens/adults
Kids art-making & craft Parties
- Mini Picassos
Kids get to let their inner artist come alive with this ‘mini picasso’ painting class! Paint on mini canvas, make picasso-style masks, play art games and create a collaborative drawing for the birthday child to take home. - BFF4EVR
Kids get to celebrate their best friends by making very special handmade bracelets and keychains, have fun with portrait drawing games and make little finger puppets. - Colourful creators
Kids get to connect with colour by learning about the colour wheel and colour mixing with slime making and watercolour painting. - Monster Mash
Kids get to make their own monsters! This special class includes painting and assembling colourful monsters, giving them names, personalities and of course, best friends! This costs a little extra to pay for supplies (Add +$45)
Teen & Adult Parties
- Bob Ross Buddies
Join up with your best Bob Ross buddies to paint a 8” x 10” canvas. Painters will paint a classic Bob Ross landscape, with a prize for the best happy little tree! - Make a ring holder
Craft a polymer clay ring holder, add colour and get creative! Then, bring home to bake (instructions included). - Card and bookmark painting
Using watercolours, learn the basics and paint a card, postcard or bookmark. - Nature Ornament painting
Paint and assemble two wooden nature-themed ornaments. This costs a little extra to pay for supplies (Add +$45)
Includes:
- All activities are led by an experienced instructor with a background check
- We take care of set-up and clean-up
- Every participant takes home a piece of art, plus the birthday child will get a personalized “Happy Birthday” card from The Arts Council.
Food & Drinks Add-Ons
- Add a pizza party! Add three large pizzas (choose from pepperoni, ham & pineapple, cheese) with your choice of pop or juice plus cups, plates and napkins. (Add + $70.00)
- Add a donut party! Add 20 special donuts from The Donut Shop (you choose up to 2 flavors) with your choice of pop or juice plus cups and napkins. (Add + $40.00)
Booking & Cancellation Policy
- Book early! Spaces at The Grove Gallery fill up fast.
- If you need to change or cancel your event, you will receive a full refund within 2 weeks before the event. If you need to change or cancel your event less than 2 weeks before the event, you will incur a $25 admin fee. Any cancellations or changes to the event less than 24 hours before the event will be charged a $100 admin and artist fee.
- Remember, your booking supports the arts council, a registered charity! All funds for the event will provide a fair wage for artists and profits will go towards supporting the arts council initiatives.

Do you provide special requests for parties?
Yes we do! Please let us know any special crafts, activities or themes you would like for your party and we will do our best to accommodate.
How long do the parties last?
Our standard birthday party package includes 1.5 hours for the guided art activity and approx. 30 mins for food, cake, presents, and socializing. Additional time can be arranged for an extra fee.
What if I want to host a party not at the Grove?
We offer special parties such as paint nights and craft nights wherever you need! Please see our “Paint and Craft Night” page for more details.
How early can I arrive for my party and how long can we stay?
Please arrive within 15 minutes of the start time of your party as the party will start promptly. Participants will have 2 hours to create and socialize, and at the end of the second hour clean-up will begin. They will have to leave within 15 minutes of the end of the party.
If I add-on pizza or donuts, when will it arrive?
Pizza and donuts will be delivered to the Grove 1.5 hours into the party to give participants time to work on their creations, and either eat, finish up or socialize.
Will you provide items to cut a cake?
Yes, we have a large knife to cut the cake; if you are providing your own food, you will need to bring your own serving tools, plates and cups. Please bring your own candles and matches or a lighter.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
We can order gluten-free pizza at an additional $3 per pizza.
Is there music available to be played during the party?
We will have a bluetooth music player and will play music – if you have your own songs or requests we suggest you supply your own, such as bluetooth/spotify.
