The Arts Council and AV Museum are thrilled to present Mini Muse — a fun-filled, hands-on creative workshop for kids ages 8 to 13, happening Saturday, May 31st from 10 AM to 12 PM at the beautiful Harbour Quay.

This exciting two-part experience blends local heritage and artistic expression to spark imagination and learning in a unique way:

🧭 First Stop: The Maritime Heritage Center
Kicking off the adventure, participants will explore the wonders of local marine life found in the Alberni Inlet. Kids will get up close with fish, wildlife, and exhibits that tell the story of our coastal community.

🎨 Next Up: The Grove Gallery
Inspired by what they’ve seen, kids will then head to the gallery for a guided art class, where they’ll experiment with different mediums and styles based on works from the permanent art collection. And best of all—they’ll create a personal masterpiece to take home!
